Micro-Wins Celebration Log

This log is a companion tool for Lesson 1.1 that shifts a parent’s attention from what went wrong to what went right. Rather than tracking errors or missed words, parents use it to record small, meaningful moments — a child who reread a tricky sentence on their own, who tried again after getting frustrated, or who simply showed excitement about a book.

The top section explains what a micro-win is and offers a ready-made checklist of twelve examples, so parents know exactly what to look for. This is important because many parents have been trained (often without realizing it) to notice mistakes — this log actively retrains that instinct.

Each of the seven entry spaces invites parents to describe the moment, reflect on why it mattered, and record how they acknowledged it. That last question is key: it reinforces that celebration is a skill, not just a reaction.

The Reflection Prompt at the end ties it all together, encouraging parents to look back across the full month and name the patterns they see — then share those observations directly with their child using specific, affirming language. This closes the loop between parent noticing and child believing.

The whole tool is grounded in your connection over correction philosophy: when parents learn to see progress, children learn to believe in it.
